Lubov Art
Lubov Ovtchinikova, a Siberian-born artist now based in San Francisco, merges the realms of imagination and reality through her surreal paintings and drawings. Her work spans diverse styles and forms, characterized by a unique blend of architectural precision and digital art influence. Whether depicting imaginary worlds, urbanscapes, landscapes, or still life, Lubov incorporates intricate architectural details, resulting in compositions reminiscent of digital posters adorned with both visuals and text.
Educated in Architecture and Digital Arts, Lubov continuously evolves her artistic expression, perpetually exploring the limitless potential of visual presentation and techniques. Currently, she delves into "crisp minimalism," a term of her own invention, employing India ink and a dip pen to achieve absolute minimal visual narratives. Additionally, she experiments with a technique reminiscent of propaganda posters, employing the same tools to create evocative imagery for imagined campaigns.
Lubov's artworks and murals adorn collections worldwide, with notable recognition including her inclusion in The de Young Open, a prestigious community art exhibition at San Francisco's de Young museum in 2020. Actively engaged in the vibrant San Francisco art scene, she participates in Live Painting events, competes in Live Art Tournaments, and showcases her works in numerous Bay Area galleries, including the esteemed City Art Cooperative Gallery, which holds a special place in her artistic journey. Beyond exhibitions, Lubov generously donates her time and art to charitable causes, embodying a commitment to social impact through creativity.
Art enthusiasts can experience Lubov's latest creations firsthand at San Francisco Open Studios 2024, where she will open her studio doors on October 12 & 13.
