I was born and raised in France, but San Francisco has been my home for the past 40 years. The colorful murals and the cultural symbols of the Mission (my neighborhood for the past 30 years) have influenced me greatly. I love to travel, and have been influenced by the art, architecture and natural beauty of Europe and the other continents i have explored.
I began my journey as an artist 5 years ago when I picked up quilting as a hobby. Through this medium, I combined my love of fabrics, colors, and patterns. Then 3 years ago, I discovered appliqué, the art of hand sewing pieces of fabric together in intricate ways using decorative needlework. I found that I loved the meditative quality of working with a needle and thread on fabric and now is my primary medium.
