Bill Russell's paintings often contain an empathic narrative about the natural or exotic world. He is inspired by travel, jazz, icebergs, cultures and florals. Bill has shown his work in a variety of settings including Stanford University, Sausalito Center for the Arts, SFMoMA Artists Gallery, Marin MoCA, Sofie Contemporary Arts in Calistoga and Reactor Gallery in Toronto, Canada. He's had artist residencies at Recology San Francisco and at the Kala Art Institute in Berkeley.
